About us
I would like to tell you about CARECAMERA.NET service. This idea was born from hard won experience by the founder members and the innovative technical talents of one founder member in particular. All of us do or have supported a loved one and we realised how difficult it became to keep a friendly eye on someone who becomes less capable as life progresses.
We have tried to create a discreet reliable method of checking that all looks well and a service that for a moderate cost can monitor the comings and goings of people in our loved ones daily life.
We appreciated the tremendous desire of those we love to keep their independence and our service empowers them, assisting in their safety and comfort whilst in their own home, it also adds a new dimension to the daily contact that is so important for their quality of life.
The service we provide allows an authorised person to keep a friendly eye on a relative or person at risk. Thus allowing reliable discreet monitoring and some peace of mind for the supporter. Our camera is placed in the home, normally the living room and or the Hall, of the person at risk with their written agreement. Their supporter can then log in to our web site to view him or her and ensure he or she is safe and sound, whilst still being able to telephone them at the same time if needed. The elderly or at risk person needs no technical expertise at all and does not need to touch the camera or any Carecamera equipment. The supporter has a unique login name and password that only he or she will know and having connected to CARECAMERA.NET can then login to see everything is looking good.
You can login and logout as often as you wish with the service being available 24 hours a day 365 days a year. The cost is about £1 a day for one camera with a minimum contract of one year payable in advance. To make the service work you will need a Broad Band service and a computer at the supporters end to view the web site and a telephone land line and two power points at the person at risk's end. We will supply and install the rest of the equipment. To ensure all parties are happy for this service to be set up we will supply an agreement to be signed by both parties and a representative of Carecamera.
CARECAMERA.NET does not monitor any images except when fault finding or during initial installation. We also supply a Carecamera Log option. This will Time and Date stamp activity that occurs in front of a camera when not being viewed live. This allows you to keep track of comings and goings but without the need to constantly monitor the camera. These images have on average a 3 day life span before being overwritten; however Carecamera Log comes with the facility to save the images to your own computer if you need to save the images for a longer term.
